Placing first ahead of tyres from eight other manufacturers and winning seven of 11 tests, our flagship winter tyre was named best for snow-braking, wet-braking, wet-handling, lateral grip wet, dry-braking, dry-handling and rolling resistance by Auto Express. “With seven outright wins and runner-up spot from 11 tests, it’s obvious Bridgestone has found something special with the Blizzak LM005,” wrote the UK magazine. “For dark days in winter, this is the clear choice.”

 

And the Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 repeated the same feat in Auto-Zeitung’s test among 10 tested brands. The tyre’s top ratings included best on wet and placing in the top two on dry. “Another test victory for Bridgestone's Blizzak LM005,” summarised  Auto-Zeitung. “Its wet qualities are currently unbeatable, very good dry performance, good on snow.” These further test-topping results for the Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 come after the tyre was recently named test winner by auto motor und sport in the first winter tyre test of the season.

 

Also among the tyres in Auto-Zeitung’s test was our Firestone Winterhawk 4, which received the highest rating of “very recommendable” and finished in fifth place, which included a top three performance in the snow.

Tyres made with TECHSYN have an enhanced tread mileage, require less fuel, produce fewer CO2 emissions, and have a lifespan extended by approximately 30%, to ultimately result in a tyre that needs to be changed less frequently and reduces the consumption of raw materials in the long-term.

The tyre topped the scoreboards ahead of nine other winter tyres. Achieving the best score in the wet and with the recognition of “safe braking and easy vehicle control on snow”, the Blizzak LM005 was given an overall rating of “very good”.

 

This result follows many other top ratings from Europe’s top testing magazines for the Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 since its release in 2019.
