Analyzing again the poem called Sy Mao´s Advice for Growing Rice, plenty of similarities can be found if we compare it with the process of how a child grows, giving us a completely new perspective to this interesting poem.

Different parts are mentioned in the text established a relation between rice and a child, just reading the first paragraph: "growing rice is challenging but not impossible", having a child is a pretty challenging process, involving tons of things such as patience, sacrifice, care, and many more things. it is not just a simple decision to take, there is plenty of factors to consider like what is mentioned in the text. also, when
rice is growing up, it needs plenty of nutrients such as sunshine or water. when it comes to a child, it basically the same, he or she will need food, nutrients, medicine if it necessary and all that things to grow properly.

another relation that I can consider is the fact that rice
needs a proper environment to grow properly, well, child also needs that, a baby cannot live in a place like the one shown in the rent collector, it is exposed to get illnesses, affecting his or her growing, so, having a proper "environment" to take care of a child is crucial for his or her development.

last but not least, when the text mentions "sometimes
rice is planted in a nursery bed and then moved later to a garden" it is basically the same process when the baby is ready to be born, this took place in the hospital, and then after everything is ok, parents are allowed to go to their homes with their baby, being the same process of the rice mentioned.

To conclude, this poem, expressing the process of growing
rice, show us an implicit different text related to a child growing process, expressing plenty of similarities between both topics, giving us two whole different poems.
