The main focus and topic I will be covering in posts, self made flyers, and donation links are about a corresponding mass movement in the US and Canada works to raise awareness of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls (MMIWG) through organized marches. This movement can be shown in the symbolization of a red dress, and a red hand print across women's faces. I have heard many stories in school and on the news about indigenous women going missing and being targeted, and now I want to educate fellow peers and people on my social media by using the hashtag #MMIWG and #NOMORESTOLENSISTERS. I believe that this initiative will work because the power of social media has become so popular now and it can be seen by everyone, so it is a great platform to promote cultural diversity and to address movements.

The reason for doing this is because indigenous women need our support and donations to give them justice and a voice. I also have a friend who is a strong activist for this movement and I will be showing her social media for a piece in my project and because she is a fellow ally and I wanted to collaborate more with her.

I had a few peers message me and repost my posts saying that they love the movement I am being apart of. I gained followers and had people tell me that they used the links and donated. I liked the feedback I was getting from friends and family, and the messages about the donations. Along the way I have learned a lot about the movement and the injustice in Canada regarding Indigenous women. What worked the best in my opinion was donations and videos I used with my followers. The donations got people helping and I got feedback on it. The youtube and tedtalk videos I shared gave even more explanation to people which was effective too.

 Something I would do differently in the future is do more face to face talking and promotion, and even collaborate with my local Georgian Bay Native Friendship Centre, and the Native Womens Association, which would be a DREAM to me to be able to do.
