I don't know a whole lot about politics or how the US government works. I understand the basics our government, but I would like to have a better in depth understanding of civics. For this class I expect to learn a lot more about the Illinois state constitution and the constitution of the United States. I would also like to learn more about how our government operates and how those actions can directly the US. As of right not my level of interest in current events and politics is not very high. I stay informed in current events and I know what's happening in politics but sometimes I don't understand it all. For me it does not change the document's meaning, but rather it further cements the message that it conveyed.
