- Bacteria can grow anywhere, but most bacteria grow best in places that are warm, moist, protein rich, and have low acid levels. Some places that bacteria can be found are bathrooms, any sink, door handles, computer keyboards, etc.

Claim: Where Do I Think Most Bacteria Would Be Found?

- I would think that most bacteria would be found on a public computer keyboard. A lot of people's fingers touch keyboards constantly, allowing bacteria to grow. Between the keys would be a good spot in my mind, as it would be darker and more moist.

Evidence: What Was the Best Spot to Find Bacteria?

According to our results, the girl's bathroom produced the largest colony of bacteria. Not only did it (Square 2) have the most single spots of bacteria, but it also had the largest colony by-far. The Boy's Bathroom and door handle didn't produce near as much bacteria, and almost no bacteria existed for the computer keyboard, my hypothesis for the best spot to find bacteria.

Reasoning: Why Was the Girl's Bathroom the Best Spot to Find Bacteria?

Bathrooms do provide a damp, dark place for bacteria to grow, and the girl's bathroom itself has spilled makeup and excess bacteria. Therefore, the Girl's bathroom would have more bacteria in general, especially more than the boys.
