It's been ten years since UNL hosted the first-ever Science Slam in the U.S.! In 2022, we opened the Slam to students and postdocs from ALL disciplines. For the 2026 Student Research Days Slam, we're celebrating ten Slammin' years by giving each prospective Slammer the choice of which past Slam prompt they'd like to address in their talk. See the full list below, then check out "Submission instructions" for more details on how to apply! 👉

2025: If you could travel into the past or the future to tell people about your research or creative endeavor, where would you go, who would you talk with, and what would you tell them?

2024: What would your 11-year-old self think is the coolest or most surprising part of the work you do today?

2023: What is it about your research or creative activity that gives you life, makes you feel “glitter in your stomach”?

2022: What skill or ability have you developed through your research or creative activity that you think would make the world better if everyone had it?

2021: TRUTH OR DARE!
