This means the loss of habitat for millions of animals as over 70% of land animals live in forests. This also drives climate change as trees play a vital role in the protection of climate change. Soils go dry without the protection of trees and trees also help the water cycle. Forests won’t have the temperature control that it has now because there will be no tree canopies to keep it cool in the day and warm at night. This damages the quality of the land that was targeted. There are many reasons for deforestation, such as farmers creating more space for crops, firewood, wood and paper supplies, roads and real estate and bush fires. The most threatened are the endangered animals that have homes within the forests. They will either be killed or live without their homes and fight for their lives to find a new home. Not only these animals, but 1.6 billion people rely on forests.
