Adelisa is a year two media student that will be attending the University of Greenwich when her time at Harlow College is over. Adelisa describes herself as confident, hardworking, happy, enthusiastic as well as out-going. She is also very co-operative and more than willing to help other students out with their work.

Adelisa has made a number of good friends while at college who can all rely on her as they describe her as being loyal and charismatic as well as funny due to a wicked sense of humour. The tutors that have taught Adelisa have also grown fond of her and would describe her as hard working, punctual, polite and very friendly.

Adelisa says that she enjoyed her photography work and is very proud of what she accomplished in this as well as her page layouts. These were units that she got high marks in as well. Adelisa definitely enjoyed her time studying at Harlow College as she states that there aren't any moments that she would rather forget and describes the whole experience as a standout memory. Adelisa states that her favourite moments would be meeting new people and working as part of a team on different assignments.

Adelisa would like to be remembered for being energetic and fun to be around which is certainly true. She wishes luck to everyone leaving Harlow College and would like to congratulate them for doing so well.

But when she’s not watching films, she’s still with her friends. Ashleigh has a vibrant social life and her unique personality gives her the ability to make new friends with ease.

She describes herself as “really weird”, but is really just disguising her creativity – something that has been prominent since a young age, when she spent her time making things up and living in her own imagination.

Nowadays, she still has a vivid imagination which has allowed her to excel on the Media course. Photography, in particular, being a unit in which she found herself enjoying the ability to manipulate images in order to see things from different perspectives.

Reading fictional books and listening to music are her other two passions. As she escapes from reality with her head in a book, she is listening to her wide ranging collection of music.

Ashleigh will be remembered for being the easily amused, enthusiastic girl in class who was always quoting a line from a film in any given situation, and will be spending her time after leaving college hopefully gaining experience in an apprenticeship for film production, before heading off for University in a couple of years to study Film and Television Production.

Monét describes herself simply as independent, active and mature three traits which

seem ideal for pursuing a career in the marketing sector.  Class mates and tutors alike describe her as trustworthy, extremely determined and dedicated to achieving her goals.  

When Monét has time to relax she likes to socialise with her friends, listen to music and watch sports; when she isn’t participating in them herself. Another keen interest of hers is food and she brands herself a food enthusiast. 

Monét enjoys being creative and particularly loves the film and design element of media.  She has enjoyed units that have allowed her to explore her personal interests.  In particular unit 51 she designed a magazine spread for urban fashion and music.

It is safe to say that her determination and hard work is going to pay off, even at a young age Monét has set her sights on big things and hopes to one day fulfil her goal of becoming a managing director for an international company.

George Hopcroft is an all-round lovely guy. He’s the friend people wish they had due to his reliability and easy going ways and this has made him a popular figure with his classmates. When problems occur with work George is always the first to help and is never shy to get stuck in and fix the problem. But George isn’t all action, most of the time he is a laid back person who just likes to get on with things and this epitomises Georges work ethic too as he is hard working and totally determined. George has thoroughly enjoyed his time on the course and most notably enjoyed working with the quality equipment and professional software; this has enabled George to create some exceptional work such as a successful advert, short film and some near professional photography. George is one of the most creative students and is never short of a unique idea, he also has the ability on the software to pull his ideas off which proves he has what it takes in the media industry. Next year George will take a gap year and enter the work world, however the following year aims to go to university to study video game design.

With a louder than life personality Boakes always manages to stand out of the crowd, with all eyes on him. Despite not having the best writing skills, Boakes is gifted in other areas of the media department due to his creativity. And if all fails with him and his band he is hoping to go onto video game design at his top choice of university Cambridge Anglia Ruskin.

Having the hopes of performing to hundreds & thousands of people with his death metal band it’s safe to say Boakes can dream big, the question is can he walk the walk?

Overall Reece has had a great time on his 2 year college course, meeting lots of new people – and also forming a band with one although it didn’t work out too well – hopefully he will remember all the little people when he is a big rock star, smashing up his guitar on stage just because he can.

Geeky video game designer by day, cool rock star with a bunch of groupies by night – the future looks good for this kid.

Jack is self-assured and has all right to be; He has been described as technically gifted by anyone who has had the pleasure to work with him. Words such as ‘genius’ and ‘over ambitious’ have been used to describe this outstanding student, and many envy him for one reason or another; Such as Andy Darley because of Jacks brilliant camera they used when filming at F2. Jacks strong points are working with computer software, editing, and special effects.

Education has finally taken its toll on Jack and he doesn’t think he can be in it much longer. At the moment, university isn’t something Jack has interest in, but with such drive and talent its apparent he will be just fine without it. He is taking a huge leap from the pond of Media into the care profession. Working at Saint Elizabeth’s centre as an assistant house parent, Jack has bagged himself one of the most rewarding and enjoyable jobs out there. Hopefully he can think up some ideas of how his technical talents can be used in that place of work.

With aspirations of becoming an editor in film or tv Bridie already edits on her YouTube                        channel creating different videos out of existing ones which has given her good                                experience and footage for the future. 

The king of swagger, Yedidia is the Jay Z of the media department he can’t go a day without pulling off a fresh outfit. Yedidia is a great presence to have in the classroom and around the college, not a day goes by that he is not laughing, joking and having a great time with his friends, he emulates positivity and charisma wherever he goes.

The man of the hour has his sights set on a bright future for himself, with plans to study advertising and marketing at university with the ambitions of setting up his own company someday, the swag lord’s ambition and drive will amplify him to new heights.

Throughout his time on the course Yedidia has enjoyed every minute, he has loved making new friends inside the classroom and out, the work he has produced and taken part in has shown to everyone that as an individual he is in his own lane, he thinks Harlow College is ‘Bless’ and has given him the confidence to follow his dreams.

When people think of Charlie Herbert, they think of the motivated student, ready for anything in the classroom and prepared to complete the work to the best of his standards. But don’t be fooled by this, as his creative mind is always at work!

Throughout his time at college, Charlie has shown his true colors. His work during film studies and the making of trailers has shown everyone just how creative he can be, something that he has been renowned for in his class. Charlie enjoys the finer things in life, like Alex Turner’s voice and Millwall (okay, maybe they’re not so refined, but Charlie enjoys them). Charlie also enjoys playing video games and watching films, two things that he has developed a creative passion for, and two subjects he hopes he can be involved in when he grows up. I think everyone would agree with me when they say that Charlie will successful in the future, and will continue to make friends and have a real impact upon leaving college.

When Charlie leaves Harlow College, he plans to go into full-time work, working in an animal feeds shop in order to save up enough money to go to Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford, where he hopes to study film.

During her school career, Mandy became particularly interested in all things related with Media. But she chose a wealth of different subjects to expand her knowledge further than the bounds of just subjects like Maths and English, Such as Sociology, Leisure and Travel and Art.

Mandy checked out a few different colleges before she settled on Harlow College, but according to her she “she always knew I going to end up at Harlow”. Mandy made plenty new friends at Harow College, and in the words of one of her best friends, “She’s a really confident person, able to tackle life’s challenges head on”.

Mandy enjoys watching films, but she loves music and the culture connected to it, with Chris Brown taking the top spot as her favourite artist.

After Harlow College, Mandy isn’t aiming to go to university, and is more interested in finding some form of an apprenticeship related to Media.

She has numerous dream jobs, such as working for a magazine, and even better still a film magazine, giving her the opportunity to write about films at a professional level, being able to give her opinions while reviewing films, letting other people know what to check out, and what to avoid is an exciting opportunity, and if she keeps working towards her ambitions, she’ll very well achieve that.

Stephanie is a student that is used to getting things done. With an unmatchable
determination she has quickly proven she is a distinction student and everybody
knows it. Stephanie has also shown herself as a natural born leader. When her
media class is set a group task, everyone wants to be on her team because they
know under her guidance a distinction is almost guaranteed; although it does
help that she is good at everything. This is also reflected in what her tutor
had to say, “Stephanie would be the best producer, she's the boss”.   

Stephanie has produced many outstanding pieces of work so far in many different projects
throughout her time in media studies. One her proudest pieces is her film analysis
of the blockbuster film Shawshank Redemption in which she shows what she is
really capable of and unsurprising got a distinction straight away. Stephanie
also enjoyed working on her 2D animation project where she got the chance to
show her creative side especially when it involved people’s dreams and
aspirations about the future. 

Being such a dedicated student its surprising that Stephanie can find the time for
anything other than focusing on her next distinction; but she always finds time
for her beloved Arsenal, a football team she fiercely supports, and enjoys
watching the female players as well as the men.

After she has finished college Stephanie is planning on going to Middlesex University
where she wants to study Sport and Exercise Science. Stephanie aims to become a
professional football coach and nobody has any doubts about her making it.

Charlton Ireland isn’t an easy man to get hold of. Described by his classmates and teachers alike as a man of mystery, some have even wondered whether he’s from planet Earth.

His timid, laid back demeanor can seem enigmatic in the classroom. However, on the rare occasion when he’s not in alien disguise, he’s a talented member of the class.

Despite his absence, Charlton has excelled in his favourite projects; he particularly enjoyed the advertising unit, his first on the course. Charlton is acclaimed as a specialist editor by the class, a talent that he could develop in the future.

Charlton is especially popular among the boys in the class, as they share a passion for heavy-metal music, a genre that defines Charlton’s style outside of college.

Charlton Football Club also defines him, literally. From being named after his Dad’s beloved team, he didn’t really have a choice in the matter. But he is now a loyal supporter of the club.

Although he has thought about going out to work after the course, Charlton is undecided on his next path. Nobody could say that they were surprised. But Charlton wouldn’t be Charlton without an element of mystery.

In a few years time Lauren hopes to travel round Japan once she has finished with university.  She is described as being shy and quiet but a lovely, friendly student to have in the class.

When Lauren isn’t at college she works part-time in WHSmith’s. Lauren has many hobbies and interests she likes to do outside of college and work. She enjoys reading especially the Harry Potter series, also watching films such as Chronicle which is her favourite film of all time.

Lauren won’t have any trouble in making new friends at University with her kind and friendly personality. She works hard and is determined to achieve her ambitions to complete her Writing and Film Studies course at university and to travel around Japan.  There is no doubt that she will be missed by her tutors and classmates.

During his experience on the course many feel George and Reece’s antics have provoked his mind and he’s a changed man since joining the course in good and bad ways. Jake works at B&Q so he will be used to the work life when he starts his gap year and if he needs a job at university after this he will go off to study at university and will hopefully be very successful in film studies.

At the start of this course Michael was shy, but he quickly developed his own set of friends, and has now come out of his cocoon, he has transformed from a caterpillar to a butterfly and is now hoping to have an extremely successful future in the video game industry which he is insanely passionate about. His knowledge on technology is incomprehensible to anyone. His peers believe he is destined to succeed due to his optimism and dedication for everything he does.  "Michael is someone you would want in every team project." the quoe highlights how strong and adequate Michael is for anything.

Although Michael is no Andy Murray, he loves a game of Tennis and you can say Michael is someone who would think outside of the box, his unique views and in-depth creativity make him unique and that quality is rare to find in someone.
