Education is protected by FAPE (free appropriate public education) in the state no matter the circumstance of the students needs. Also, the IEP Guidance Handbook goes more in depth to the measures taken for student success. This is not a perfect system, but the thought process behind it is that the State of Idaho is serving all students and their needs for a quality education. In addition to educational adjustments Idaho is a School Lunch Program which means that all students have access to food at school if they can not afford it. In addition there are many resources available to students, like virtual and/or in person education. The school has resources for one on one student learning in some situations. Idahoschools.org expresses the great job this school district is doing to get students to grade level. They have low chronic absentees and parent involvement is through the roof. There is a less than 5% of the population that classifies as "other". When it comes to the other stats, they come in quite low considerably for low income, ESL, foster care, and migrant families. Their state testing is at 100% participation with ranking 50th percentile on average for scores. For free or reduced lunch, around 27% of students utilize this. Hagerman is a Title I school. They offer viral and in person schooling options which I think is uncommon for such a rural school. The different elective and sport opportunities introduce an encouragement to engage with resources. Also, the benefits of these concrete learning opportunities create an atmosphere for different learning styles to excel.

I do believe that they meet the needs of diverse learners. Along with working to help their students succeed. Their website has many great resources for students and examples of involvements. The amount of opportunities that are available to these students in the rural district they are in is amazing! The website highlights so many unique programs and events for students. Overall I am very impressed with this school district and how much a priority their students are in all capacities. It is unfortunately common I think to sometimes have focus on sports or something similar but with this situation, ever program is valued as it seems!

An area of improvement could be introducing some cultural education. This school population does not have very much diversity. Introducing education that can create a more rounded individual is important. This school district is already doing a great job it seems but that could be an adjustment.
