He was credited with inventing and patenting the first telephone.  Bell was born March 3rd 1847 Edinburgh, Scotland. Bell was also the co-founder of the american telegraph company. Bell studied the human voice and worked in various schools for the deaf. </div>]]></description>

Elias was born July 9th 1819.  Howe was not the first to conceive the idea of the  machine. on September 10, 1846, Howe was awarded the first United States patent for the sewing machine. Howe spent his childhood and early adult years in Spencer Massachusetts.</div>]]></description>

He was one of the first Americans building steam engines and an advocate of high pressure steam. Slater was born June 9th 1768 Belper, UK. Slater memorized the designs of textile factory machinery as an apprentice in the British industry before migrating to the United States at the age of 21.</div>]]></description>
