A case study was conducted at Shadow Ridge Middle School utilzing NoRedInk and growth on the NWEA map test with over 300 7th grade students. The results showed that "thirty six percent of the students in the study grew by at least two grade levels "(Perez 4). The results speak for themselves with this outstanding website.

Flocabulary fosters literacy utilizing hip hop based video lessons to help engage students in learning difficult literacy concepts. Based on "The Word Up Project", a report emphasizing the importance of explicit vocabulary instruction, "Teachers introduce words in an interesting context, provide multiple and varied opportunities for practice understanding and using the words, and encourage students to apply their new understandings in creative ways" (Farr, Conner, Haydel, Monroe 4). In addition to vocabulary, the platform offers lessons in writing, story elements and grammar.
