While at the playground, the children were playing and then they saw a big iguana at the opposite side of the road, therefore they were interested to learn about iguanas. Therefore, teacher will read a storybook, ‘I wanna Iguana’ to the children.

2.    Objectives 

·       Children must be able to read the words in the book from left to right by pointing to the words in the storybook from left to right. 

·       Children must be able to demonstrate print awareness by identifying that letter I is for iguana. For example, when teacher ask the child, what does Iguana starts with? They must respond by saying and pointing to the letter I in the spelling iguana. 

 

3.    Concept: Reading the book correctly from left to right. They must be aware of the correct ways to handle a story book. They must also display print awareness by identifying the alphabets in the spelling Iguana.
