The five relationships have a giant role in this they are  

  1. ruler-Subject
  2. Father-Son
  3. Elder-Younger Brother
  4. Husband-Wife
  5. Friend-Friend

    Number one is about Ruler-subject  which is the subject looks up to the Ruler, number two is the Son who looks up to the father.Number three is The elder Brother being respected by the younger brother ,Number four is the one that is very Nonsensical ,and thus Invalidates his whole philosophy about respecting everyone (just my opinion don"t get offended)is Husband - wife Because it says the wife must do everything and respect the husband, and be property to the husband so therefor  it is Null, Irrelevant, and Ludicrous.Then the last is the only equal relationship which is friend-friend which is a friend and a friend.

A. Jen (wren): human heartedness; goodness; benevolence, man-to-man-ness; what makes man distinctively human (that which gives human beings their humanity).

B. Li (lee): principle of gain, benefit, order, propriety; concrete guide to human action.

C. Yi (yee); righteousness; the moral disposition to do good (also a necessary condition for jen or for the superior man).

D. Hsiao (showe): filial piety; reverence


E. Chih (chee): moral wisdom; the source of this virtue is knowledge of right and wrong. Chih is added to Confucianism by Mencius (muhn shoos) who believed that people are basically born good.
