I learned that changing math stations regularly helped to insure that students stay on task and engaged during this time. I noticed that students who practiced current content during stations performed more confidently during independent activities in my classroom. I also learned that regular use of technology within stations helped students stay focused (Ex: Think Through Math). Most students were eager to begin daily math stations and looked forward to this part of our class schedule. My students have also become accustomed to the routines and procedures during stations, which in turn helped limit behavioral issues during this time so that I can better assist my small guided group.

In order to achieve my goal, I utilized the following NISD professional development and book to help build individual student proficiency during stations and,small group instruction: Itech training, TEKs Target Workshop, Curriculum & Instruction Overview, Classroom Management: Setting up for Success, and Guided Math in Action by Nicki Newton 
Next year I plan on having a classroom economy system to reinforce positive behaviors during stations.
