The article was about 11 year old Gitanjali Rao, who after hearing about the city of Flint, Michigan having lead in their water, wanted to do something to help. She made a device called a Tethys that detects lead in water and is hoping to sell it to others to help them. One signpost that I found in the article was quoted words. Gitanjali was quoted saying, "Failure is just another step to success." I know this is an example of quoted words because it is a direct quote from a good source. I think the author quoted this person because they are trustworthy and obviously knows a lot about the topic because it is about her.

I think that the main character, Aza, isn't a good friend to her best friend. Daisy pointed this out to her and they ended up getting in a car crash, but Aza should really make an effort to change. She is always talking about herself and not focusing on Daisy at all. Daisy asked her if she knew about her parents or her siblings and she really didn't. If I were in Daisy's place, I probably wouldn't want to be friends with Aza. I think friends need to be there for each other no matter what they are going through, and Aza just isn't very good at this. She did the same thing with her other friend, Davis. She always focused on herself and couldn't think about him enough so they became farther apart.

In this section on my book, Aza was driving with her bff Daisy to go to dinner. They got in an argument about Aza's mental health and Aza wasn't concentrating on the road and got them in a car crash. She had to go to the hospital (hence the picture) and had to spend a lot of time there because of what happened to her. I think that the author put this in the book to show how bad her illness really is. It hasn't really effected anything other than her in the past, so I think this was supposed to show that its getting to the point where it can't be ignored anymore. She has now hurt others as well as herself. I think that she is going to have to work with Dr. Singh more and more to hopefully help her get slightly better.

In this part of my book, the title, "Turtles all the Way Down," was finally explained. I didn't see how this book about a girl could relate to turtles in any way, but now it makes sense. Aza's best friend described it to her as that there are turtles piled on top of each other that just keeps going and going, and Aza is trying to find the bottom turtle, but it isn't there. Its turtles all the way down. I think Daisy is trying really hard to help her friend and be there for her, and this was a great way to try to help. She obviously cant fix the problem with Aza, but she can help her understand it and be there for her when she needs it.
