I was just about to finish 4th grade when I saw it. It was here that I decided that I wanted to be a Cheerleader as well as do Musical Theatre. I tried out for the school musical which was The Little Mermaid and was cast to be in the ensemble. I was in every school musical after that until my senior year. Very soon after I was in my first musical I tried out to be on a local competitive cheer team. This song that I chose from Bring It On is sung by Campbell who is the main character. All of the doctors appointments, shots, needles, and blood drawings traumatized me. This really shaped me to be the person I am today. I chose Humble and Kind because this time in my life really taught me to be both of these things. You truly never know what someone else is going through and there is no reason to ever be mean to someone. Everyday I strive to be a light in someones darkness. I would be lying if I pretended that I am perfect at this. I tried out for cheer during the pandemic. The whole process was online and it lasted 3 months. I made the team mid July and we started practicing in August. Being a part of the cheer team has been such a fulfilling experience. My teammates have become my family. Going into this assignment I was a little nervous because I thought it was going to be hard to think of songs that I associate with major life events. It became very easy as I progressed. I think subconsciously I had already given a song to life events. I appreciated the freedom we were given. I discovered that the common theme of the songs that I chose match my personality. Most of my songs are pretty peaceful. Like these songs I am, for the most part, a pretty laid back person.
