I think since Hailey was Starr's best friend she thought that she was entitled to say that since they've known each other for so long. I also disagree with Hailey stating that because at the end of the day,, there are certain lines you just shouldn't cross & she crossed that line awfully. As Starr's best friend she should already know not to "joke" like that .. or just in general as a WHITE person.

I think that Hailey thought that it was okay to joke like that because they are friends. it was not right for her to talk to Starr like that so i disagree with her saying that.

I think it means that someone can say a racist thing but not mean it to seriously to bring the other person down. Of course, it's not right still, so I disagree. You have to be mindful and not make others feel bad.

I think when hailey said that she was trying to use the fact that they were friends for a long time which still does not mean she can still say that to starr.i disagree with what hailey said because she is saying that she that she can say racist stuff without getting in trouble which should not happen.

Hailey shouldn´t have said something like that. It doesn´t matter if she is Starr´s friend. She should recognize when she is crossing Starr´s boundaries, along with Maya. This is Hailey has been racist towards both of them which is why I disagree with Hailey because it was very wrong and offensive to say such a comment like that, while also gaslighting Starr into believing what she said was not harmless.

I think because Hailey was starrs best friend she thought she was able to say racist things and get away with it which is wrong and I believe she knew what she said was wrong she just decided to use the excuse that she was just saying trash talk but she was really just disrespecting starr.

I think this means that since hailey and starr are friends hailey thought it was cool to say anything racist to her and not think it would be a problem .

I do not agree with Hailey because no matter how you say something that seems racist is still going to be racist and it can be hurtful to the person you are saying it to because Hailey and Starr are different races so Hailey can say something to Starr and Starr thinks it can be racist.
