Staying too long in the dark and in uncomfortable spaces, along with loneliness and boredom, will cause anxiety. 



A controversial issue is whether or not we should invest in travelling to the outer space, for example to Mars, instead of spending money in a task that does not provide us with any data to improve the situation where we live, we can use that money to improve and care for Earth. There are many ways in which this could be accomplished. We can make progress on the cure of human diseases, such as AIDS and cancer, by producing a natural environment based on clean air, water and soil. In this case, we can focus on the internal issues like poverty and homelessness, rather than the external problems.

Reaching Mars from Earth costs huge amounts and it is less likely to provide useful thing that can be beneficial to improve people's lot. It is a good idea to allocate theses money to improve individual’s living conditions instead of wasting money to explore.

Another significant issue is keeping astronaut’s mental health stable. Anxiety is one effect of the darkness and hostility that can be caused by long term space trips by astronauts. In addition, astronauts feel lonely and bored which affect them psychologically.

Why people should spend money trying to settle down in Mars when it does not bring any benefits for Earth ? Instead, people can use money to improve life conditions and become an active part of the progress of the planet. Therefore, this action can lead to many diseases such as cancer and AIDS.
