Turn on the hot plate and have it heat up, then put a beaker with bicarbonate solution.
4. Using the hole puncher, cut out 40 disks, 10 for each beaker.
5. Remove the plunger from the syringe and insert the 10 leaf disks into all of the syringes

We have concluded that during our trials the leaves of spinach that were exposed to colder temperatures had a decreased rate of photosynthesis with none of the disks floating in the bicarbonate solution. On the contrary, however, those exposed to a warmer temperature had an increased rate of photosynthesis seeing as nearly all the disks in 40 degrees celsius floated.

6. Put the syringes and pull in some solution. Have it reach more than the 5 mL mark and tap out the bubbles, then after tapping out the bubbles expel the extra solution until you have 5mL
7. Create a vacuum by using the opening of the syringe with your finger and pull back the plunger. Hold it for 10 seconds. With this you will see the air bubbles forming around the disks.
8. Agitate the syringe or invert the syringe while maintaining. Helps remove the air bubbles.

This is due to the decrease in cellular activity in colder temperatures this is due an increase of necessary kinetic energy for reactions like photosynthesis to occur. Some weakness in this experiment would be the lack of multiple trials.
