It's something I've been wanting to try and this gave a lot of helpful tips. I also want to try "say something" to help with student accountability.<br>I still have questions about finding the right strategy for my students, especially when I'm new and don't know them as well. Is it just experimentation or do I take it to the class and find out what motivates them? </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I confirmed my practice that reading needs to be collaborative, even with choice. I also am going back to collaborating with the freshman class for our Isearch papers. I saw the excitement. I realize that I need to push my peers to collaborate more with each other. It creates community and an authentic learning environment.<br><br>&nbsp;I would like to do the project where we make books for a younger grade.&nbsp;<br>I think I might use that idea of a reading illustration in the beginning of the year to take the temperature of the students' motivations.&nbsp;<br><br>Do other teachers in your district collaborate like you two?&nbsp;<br>Does your district limit student to student contact outside of the district.<br><br>Have you ever tried Blogs. I did them this year, but my district did not want the kids to share them with each other. It was frustrating - any suggestions?<br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>
