Book #31 Walking with Ghosts, by Gabriel Byrne. An autobiography.

Book #30 The Midnight Library, by Matt Haig  I really, really like this book.

Book #29 How Beautiful We Were, by Imbolo Mbue. Dragged a bit towards the end.

Book #28 We Have Always Lived in the Castle, by Shirley Jackson. Highly recommend, if you are a fan of Stephen King.

Book #27 Wish You Were Here, by Jodi Picoult. A fantasy/sci-fi set during the Covid pandemic.

Book # 21  Catch-22, by Joseph Heller. I like to sneak in a classic once in a while.

Book #20  Dodger, by Terry Pratchett. The audiobook version is phenomenal!

Book #17 Sherman Alexie's You Don't Have to Say I Love You. Wow. I had to listen to this one in chunks. It is really intense at points.

Book #16  E.H. Gombrich's A Little History of the World. Very unique. Puts our current social-political situation in perspective.

Book #15 The Dutch House, by Anne Patchett.  Audiobook is really well done. I didn't want this one to end.

Book #14:  Year of Wonders, by Geraldine Brooks.

Book #13 Sick Puppy, by Carl Hiaasen. Few authors can write books more deliciously hilarious than Hiaasen. Pure dessert to complement the comfort food.

Book #12 A Great Reckoning, by Louise Penny, the next Inspector Gamache installment. Comfort food!

Book #11  Mockingjay, by Suzanne Collins.  Finally I got around to the conclusion of this interesting series. I still think the movies are better.

Book #10 Call of the Wild, by Jack London. A true classic.

Book #9 Anxious People, by Fredrik Backman. Lots of fun; not too serious, but frequently very sweet.

Book #8: The Nature of the Beast, the next Chief Inspector Gamache installment by Louise Penny. More comfort food.

My seventh book of 2022, the classic Brave New World, a dystopian novel written in 1931! I had to read this when I was in High School, back in the day.

Book #6: The Long Way Home, by Louise Penny. A murder mystery solved by the formidable Chief Inspector Gamache. I compare this book to comfort food. Not challenging, not enlightening, but still nourishing for the soul.

Book #5: Catching Fire, the sequel to Hunger Games.

My latest book completed was called Less, by Robert Petkoff. This novel won a Pulitzer Prize, and although well crafted, I don't think I would recommend it to teen readers.

My 3rd book was The Hunger Games, Book 1.  I had never read this before, and I have to admit, this is one instance where I felt the movie was superior to the written work itself.

Book 2:   Bram Stoker's Dracula, published in 1897!!! Wow that is one old manuscript!

First book completed for 2022:  The White Tiger, by Aravind Adiga, winner of the 2008 Man Booker Prize.  I learned a lot about the caste system of India in the present day.
