People still face racism in modern times that hinders their path to wealth , an example of this is Red lining and it being used to stop black people for getting good housing , racisms is also another one because it causes people to judge you before they know you just by appearance, People are suspected to unjust arrest because of their race/religion/ethnicity.

In this Quote Beneatha is talking/Arguing  with Walter  Because Walter is mad that their mother gave all their fathers insurance money to Beneatha to use to become a doctor while Walter has a family and a child and has a good business idea which makes him mad his sister gets all their fathers insurance money.



 Do you agree with the artist’s message here? Does it stand up in 2023? Does this line really say what the artist thinks it’s saying? 


I neither agree or disagree with the authors message that all the money should go to one Beneatha and Walter shouldn't receive any even though they both equal an if were being real here if they have family business that generates money it would out last being a doctor and Beneatha would be learning for a decade and Walter's family is the one struggling. In 2023 this wouldn't stand because the length of learning is long and people would be more selfish . I believe that the author is trying to imply that even though Walter needs the money the most Beneatha's future should be prioritized, (also since she is mama's favorite.
