Hi, my name's Jesús! I'm a schoolteacher working in Escola Montseny, located in Breda. I've been teaching children for 10 years so far, and I've been the English specialist in my school only for the last 4 years. Before my work was more focused on other subjects such as Science, Maths or Language, and also I was one of the tutors in Cicle Superior.
My expectations for this course are to know more resources about how to teach English, and also how to adapt our way of teaching taking into account the diversity in our classes. I hope I will be able to include in my sessions some of the knowledge learned throughout this course!

I work in a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by the nature. Overall, I have classes of 20-22 pupils.
Unfortunately, I don't have an English classroom for me, and it's quite uncomfortable to arrange my classroom as I would have loved to. Apart from that, in our school this year we have started working without books in all the subjects.

I heard the first news about this method two years ago, while I was attending a summer course for teachers in Barcelona. They told us that in many schools in Scandinavia was a successful way of teaching at that time.
After the teacher's explanation, I was a bit skeptical about how to implement this method in our schools, because some of our students are not committed to work at home, and for this reason they would be lost during the sessions, if they haven't done their assignments. So, I think the flipped classroom method could work in a school where most of the students are motivated and willing to work either in the classroom or at home.
