On a visit to the Greek museum Percy is attacked by a fury and then begins his adventure. Sally (his mother) and Grover takes Percy to Camp Half-Blood, a camp built to train semi-gods. On the way to camp Hades kidnaps his mother and why Percy embarks on an adventure with his friends Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena, which is also a demigod, and Grover, who is actually a satyr, to save his mother. They must get 3 beads to rescue Percy's mother and so find and return the stolen lightning of Zeus and avert a war between the gods to restore the cosmic order before the sun sets on the longest day of the year, which they embark on an incredible transcontinental odyssey that takes them to a height of six hundred stories above New York (the site of Mount Olympus) and the iconic Hollywood announcement, under which burn the fires of Hades. At the end of the journey is the destination of the world-and the life of Percy's mother Sally, whom Percy must rescue from the bowels of hell. Eventually Percy Ray restores its Zeus, avoiding a major war. There, speaking for the first time with his father, Poseidon.
