In 1954, Oliver brown sued the board of education in Topeka for unequal schools compared to white schools. This went all the way up too the supreme court and it overturned Plessy vs. Ferguson.
Thurgood Marshall, Board of Education in Topeka, and Oliver and Linda Brown were the participants in this event.
