Students sit in a circle and one person walks around the outside of the circle and taps students on the shoulder and says "patati, patati, patati". When they say "patata", the students asks a question and starts running around the circle and tries to make it back to where they started before the tagged person answers the question.

You can provide the questions, or they can generate their own questions, or you could project a text and they can ask comprehension questions based on the text.

Trying to get students to delve deeper into songs instead of switching songs daily, now we start class everyday with song of the week. Each day we do something different with the song. Here are some things we have done-

Students listen to song then share opinion of song with scaffold vocab (mis

clases locas and roxxem have vocab slides)

Do a MovieTalk with slides from the music video, or read a story about the video’s storyline and then they watch the video the next day.

Listen to song and count the number of times they hear a key structure

Illustrate a line from the lyrics and students guess the line.

Watch a video that highlights the country from the artists and talk about what we would like to see/do in the country.

Fridays- roxxem.com cloze activity or other lyric activity, dance lesson if the song is a dancing song or song along.
