WHAT DOES CONTAMINATION MEAN?

This word means when particles gets in or mixes with the authentic one. And when there is too much of that particle and the particles are bad it become pollution. Also contamination can be bad or good, instead the pollution is always bad for us and the animals.

If the contamination is bad normaly is bad for us not the environment.

WHICH ARE THE TYPES OF CONTAMINATION (ZIXUAN)

There are lots of contamination around the world. The main ones are :physical, biological and chemical.

1 physical: Physical contamination happens when a visually thing contaminates the product.

2 biological:Biological contamination happens when a very small living organism such as bacteria , viruses or fungi.

3 chemical: Chemical contamination happens when a substance contaminates the product.

WHAT DOES POLLUTION MEAN? ( Ioana )

Pollution means when contamination reaches to a very high level and when something is added to our enviorment making the thing dirty and dangerous, this bad things come from factories, cars, trash and chemical that we use at home.Pollution can affect a lot of things like the air that we breathe the water that we drink and the land that we grow our food to eat.

WHICH IS THE MOST DANGEROUS ONE? ( Amelia )

The most dangerous one is air pollution. Its the most dangerous for us and the animals. If we don`t stop it will be a lot of consequences and tragic ones for example there will apear more deaths of respiratory problems, breathing problemas and even cardiac arrests. This happen by having 0% of natural air or not contaminated. This can end with the life of all living things in the world. ( But in a lot of years )

WHICH ARE THE TYPES OF FOOD CONTAMINATION?

This is caused by the dust or dirt, dirty hands, polluted water, insects and dirty rodents or infected.

1:Water: water contamination is when the waste, chemical, or different particles cause a waterway to become harmful to the fish an creatures that need the water to survive.

2:Plastic is made of raw materials like natural gas, oil or plants, plastic bags stops waterways and blocks sewers.

Light:Light contamination is considered a threat because it can change behaviors of animals like reducing the night visions of some animals also it can cause illnesses for humans .

Important Only human created light have these bad things.

4:Air pollution is contamination of the indoor and outdoor environment by any chemical, physical or biological agent that modifies the natural characteristics of the atmosphere.

5:Land pollution is a deposition of solid and liquid waste materials on land or underground in a way that can contaminate the soil and groundwater.

Animals and plants that die they decompose and the good organisms that they have, they helps to keep the environment clean.

We can help them in many ways, ( a lot ) for example: using less plastic we could save some animals in extinction and the process of plastic pollution is damaging the world and our animals of extinction and a quite common visual in relation to plastic pollution is a turtle trapped in beer yokes but without the knowledge, it can be difficult to visualize the full impact of plastic playing in our ocean and damaging the animals.

DOES ANIMALS KNOW HOW TO DEFEND THEM SELVES FROM POLLUTION? (TIANQUI)

The answer is yes, some animals, like elephants can capture 50 pounds of carbon dioxide a year by eating plants that contain carbon dioxide.

2: Protect and defend forests, water and air from enemies like trash and bad organisms, that can affect their health.

3: Work hard to keep animals safe from the people that hunt them or even the animals that eat them ( not sure)

4: We need to be positive and think that extincion is evitable.

What types contamination are caused by humans? ( ZIXUAN )

physical contamination : physical contamination is when a materialthat is not liquid and is visible i considered physical contamination.EX:a piece of metal is in your food and the food will be physical contaminated

chemical contamination :chemical contamination is when a harmfull liquids. EX:A acid is in your food and now your food is contamination by chemical contamination.

Biological:bacteria: biological contamination is when vacteria or viruses contaminate the original product.

There are a lot of countries that contaminate the most, and is not good, there are: China. China can arrive to the 30% of air pollution.

Then the global climate polluters are: China, India, United states, and finally the European Union.

China Contaminate the most, because in 1980 to 2000 when china had less money they found oil. They started to create fabrics and cars but they din`t know the damage that can be caused.

HOW MUCH PLASTIC DO WE USE EVERY DAY IN THE WORLD?(ISA)

Scientists show that people around a world buy 1 million plastic bottles a minute. So this means 1.5 million plastic bottles a day!

HOW CAN WE REDUCE PLASTIC BOTTLES? ( IOANA )

1: You can recicle plastic and giving a new life and creat somethiung better that before.

2:If you buy a water bottle, don`t throw it you can keep it to use it more times.

REMEMBER,THE BEST WAY TO REDUCE WATER BOTTLES AND PLASTIC IN GENERAL IS NOT BUYING. BECAUSE IF THE PEOPLE WHO CREATE IT SEE THAT WE DON`T BUY IT WILL STOP PRODUCING IT.

Pollution harms the environment and the living things in it, including humans. Here are some specific examples: 

• Humans: Breathing polluted air can cause diseases like asthma and lung cancer. Drinking contaminated water can lead to serious illnesses. Noise pollution can cause stress and hearing problems. 

• Animals: Fish and other aquatic animals can die from polluted water. Birds can get sick from eating plastic waste. Land animals can lose their habitats because of land pollution.

The weeks 3 and 4, we were a little bit more focus in our work, but I did not I focus I do not know why. Yesterday 18/4/2024 we supposed to finish some parts of our Padlet, and the groups that did not finish it, need to stay at patio time. 

We were one of that groups, but we did not know that we need to stay. What I mean is that we were not using the time wisely, at least me. I know is not ok not focusing on something so important. I am not proud of my work because I know I can do more than this week. But my whole group put effort. At least we start inquiring on some of our questions.

We learned the fore types of contamination, and te moust dangerous one.

What I didn`t like is that they didn`t show us the little turtles.I really wanted to see them. And finally I didnt like that they didnt show us how to " help" a turtle or an animal or at least how to know if the creature is alive or not.

And we still did not resolved. But we hope that with the help of Hayven we fix it. Finally we need to finish two lines of inquiry for this Wednesday, so miraculously we made it. I think that my team/ group is the best and we work well together. Also I am very scared of the PYPX because we need to be calm with our group and if someone gets stressed like my because I am always stressed I stress all the group and that is not ok. So I will try to controle my self and brath.

The only thing that I didin´t like was that we don´t communicate so much like the others group but i think we can resolve this problem also I am very worried about the pyp exhibition because i think we won´t have time to finish the work especialy the stand.And i think i worked a lot more than the others weeks.
