Everything on the internet, stays on the internet. That is why it is important to be aware of the messages being sent (Mark Frank, 2007).

You can make yourself look good online by knowing what you are talking about. Pay attention to the content of your writing by making it clear and logical. Also, pay attention to grammar and spelling. Swearing is not appropriate netiquette. It is important to stay professional and polite. No matter what age.

I think the problem with cyber-bullying is that children are not introduced to technology and are not taught the proper ways to act when online. I think practicing netiquette in schools and incorporating technology into the classroom is important because it will provide children with guidance on how to act respectively both in real life and through the digital world.

I will incorporate proper netiquette in my classroom by providing my students with clear expectations in the beginning of the year. I will help them by practicing netiquette daily and this will help shape their attitudes to be more respectful when on the internet.
