With real world examples, I found this article helpful in understanding how a reaction can have a negative effect on an event. However, she is able to take on this challenge and overcome her hesitancy. A growth mindset can positively impact anyone, no matter what age they are or hurdle they have to jump.

Students have access to an abundance of information, and we are wasting our time if we think that teachers are the only ones privy to it. Our students would benefit more by learning how to analyze and think critically about the information that is at their fingertips. Since our world has changed, we have no choice but to change with it.
