         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>unstructured interviews<br><br>These are a set of questions which are used for as a guide but may be altered. the contributors may be asked different questions.<br></strong><br><strong>structured interviews<br><br>These are a set of questions that can’t be altered once they are done. Every contributor will be asked the same set of questions.<br></strong><br></div><div><strong>Similarities and differences <br><br></strong>A <strong>similarity</strong> is that both these interviews are done to receive information and responses from contributors to get additional results for a research. If there is research on drugs some researchers may use a structured interview to get opinions from contributors. But some researchers may use unstructured interviews to get information and opinions from others for the same research. <br><br>A <strong>difference</strong> is that structured interviews have one set of questions which are asked to every contributor. Quantitative data includes blood pressure, weight, height, BMI and shoe size.<br></strong><br></div><div><br></div><div><strong>Qualitative data<br></strong><br></div><div><br></div><div><strong>This data includes words and no numbers. This is data in words and can come in things like interviews and questionnaires.<br></strong><br></div><div>A <strong>difference</strong> is that qualitative data is put in words of what the participant said, but quantitative data is shown through statistics and numbers after its been studied.<br><br>A <strong>similarity</strong> is that information is given for both these methods from the public to get additional results for a study or research that may be passed out.<br><br><strong>FAIZA</strong><br><br></div><div><br></div>]]></description>

This can also be find out trends that are in thoughts and opinions which enable us to dig deeper into a on-going problem. There are various methods that aid in data collecting which can be using an unstructured or a semi-structured technique. The most common methods can include focus groups, individual interviews or other participation/observations. The sample size is usually small as those participating which select the given quota.<br>Quantitative Research:<br>Usually used to quantify the problem which is used by generating numerical data or any type of data that may be transformed into statistics used in the research. It looks at attitudes, opinions, behaviors and other defined variables which can generalise the results used in a larger sample of the population. This type of research uses measurable data in order to formulate the facts and uncover the patterns in research.          <title>An interest in qualitative data came about as the result of the dissatisfaction of some psychologists (e.g., Carl Rogers) with the scientific study of psychologists such as the behaviorists (e.g., Skinner).  Since psychologists study people, the traditional approach to science is not seen as an appropriate way of carrying out research, since it fails to capture the totality of human experience and the essence of what it is to be human.
