Prometheus who always thought of the future and epimetheus who thinks of the past. Jupiter did not send these brothers to prison with the rest of the titans. Prometheus didn't care for living on the mountain  top, he went and lived among the men. He found them living miserably.Prometheus thought that if they only had fire they could stay warm and learn to make things. He went to jupiter and begged him to give the men fire but he refused saying that they could become stronger and challenge the mighty ones happiness. He knew what he wanted to do. He wanted to punish him and the people.He wanted to do this in a rather strange way. He made his blacksmith take a lump of clay and mold it into a women.Everyone started to bring the women to life, she was beautiful.They brought this women to epimetheus so he could have a wife. She had brought a box with her that jupiter had given her at their parting.Athena warned her never to open it.Everyday she tried to see what was inside without opening it. She thought that they would just be some jewls and she decided athena would never know if she just looked at them She opened it barley but before she could close it all these strange creatures came out. They flew into every home and put an end to everyone's joy. Pandora did close it soon enough so that the worst creature couldn't get out. One of them can be that sometimes curiosity isn't good. At the end of the story pandora gets box and she always wonders whats in it and it finally gets to a point where she decided just to peak even though athena told her not to. In the text it states “Why should I care for what Athena told me?” she said at last. “She is not beautiful, and jewels would be of no use to her. I think that I will look at them, at any rate. Athena will never know.
