Korea: People often eat ramen quickly inside

Taiwan: People usually take food to-go

Reflection: Through this observation, we realized that both countries value efficiency and accessibility, but they express it in their own unique ways.

Korea: Very thin straws, medium straws, and thick straws are all available.

Taiwan: Only medium straws.

Reflection: This small difference made me realize that even everyday items reflect cultural values. It showed me how Korea values variety and choice, while Taiwan prefers simplicity and practicality.

Taiwan: Buses in Taiwan are more shaky compared to Korea. (He said it shakes like 100times)

Reflection: I felt that even if it is a same type of public transportation, made for Sam purpose and looks the same there might be difference beside the outlook.

Taiwan: Only medium straws.

Our action: We did simple plogging walking down the street and recycled our wastes well.

Reflection: We found there were a lot of garbage in the street, so we were proud of small action and thought if this kind of action added, the world could be changed.

Taiwan：In Taiwan, people exchange money for tokens, and then use the tokens to play arcade games.

Reflections:Each place has its own development and habits. For Taiwanese people, it might be more satisfying to insert coins and exchange them for tokens, while for Koreans, the convenience of using credit cards might be preferred.

Our action: we bought a recycled toothbrush instead of normal toothbrush

Reflection: while finding a recycled toothbrush we learned that there are not many eco friendly products in our life.

Taiwan is different from South Korea in terms of food prices. South Korea's prices are usually cheaper than those in Taiwan, such as taxis.

There is a scoring system.

Taiwan:Room usually big, people can order food inside,no scoring system.

Reflection:Though the Karaoke is in both place in Taiwan, they had still many difference.

Taiwan(in Taichung) : In Taichung, Taiwan, students can ride city buses for free for the first 10 km if they register their transportation card under the local system.

Reflection : I think the difference between Korea and Taichung shows how each city supports young people in different ways. While Korea offers only discounts, Taichung provides free rides to encourage public transportation use.

Our action:we pick up the garbage on the road

Reflection:To improve the environment we should do our best to reduce plastic waste

and we are proud of our action if we add more action maybe the environment will change a lot

Even though the weather was freezing, we still drank a cup of chocolate smoothie — it was super exciting! We also went bowling and tried a type of oden that’s totally different from the ones in Taiwan — it was so delicious!

I’m really happy that I got the chance to hang out, shop, and eat with all of you from Korea. It was such a fun experience and made me feel the joy of cultural exchange. Thank you all for the great time — I was really, really happy!

While talking with my Taiwanese friends, I found out that both Korea and Taiwan have photo booths. We were surprised and happy to discover this common culture. Even though we live in different countries, we all enjoy taking cute photos with our friends and keeping those memories. It made me realize how similar our everyday lives can be.

Korea: the building has is own number. Every building neatly arranged.

Taiwan: the buildings usually don’t have the number.

Reflect: It will be Easier to identify each building

Our action: using public transportations

Reflection: Instead of using cars we are able to reduce huge amount of carbion dioxide, which is greenhouse gas emissions.

Taiwan:Picking up the rice bowl looks more decent.

This teach us "When in Rome, do as the Romans do."
