Consider standardising the use of e-certs across all SPs since most students are in secondary/JC so it can be mass emailed. Or see if this can be decentralised for schools to hand out instead? This may help reduce the staff/admin needed for presentation ceremonies

Collaboration with others for SPs

If there are existing similar programmes which are catered to a wider audiences, we should consider collaborating with subject branches or external organisations to maximise impact and resources.

Streamlining of work process

We may want to do a study to review how to streamline the work process for special programmes. How do we involve more partners outside of branch to support these programmes instead of being solely run by GEB. Hence we may look at each programme being managed by a committee of teachers or KPs which their school has a huge stake in the programme. GEB may come in from the position of consultancy, advice, training for the stakeholders of each programme, being the middle person to pull in the different stakeholders together and collaborations with other organisations within and outside SG.

Start a total mental wellness program

A Total Mental Wellness means feeling good inside your mind and heart, being able to handle tough situations, and having good relationships with yourself and others.

It helps students to:

Reducing rehearsals for culminating events

We dont have to be perfect. Let's reduce the number of rehearsals. The emcees can run through their scripts with their teacher ICs, the students helpers can have a walkthrough to familiarise themselves with the proceedings. 1 pre-event rehearsal should be sufficient.

Online culmimating events

Over the years, unsure how f2f culminating events benefits the audience over online events where logistics is kept to a minimal but teachers and students enjoy it all the same. It was often said to be used as a platform for teachers to network, but we do have other platforms and opportunities for them to come together and hear from one another.

In house reviewing of proposals and papers - how long can we do this for now that the branch of shrinking? Suggest to outsource it or get the other subject officers involved.

Could we better tap on IHLs, other branches and organisations so that there is greater bandwidth to allow participation from other mainatream schools.

Several special projects and events share overlapping objectives, learning outcomes, and processes. While there may be slight differences in focus (e.g., research depth vs. mentorship emphasis), the core skills developed—such as critical thinking, problem-solving, presentation skills, and academic writing—are largely similar. While initial coordinations maybe tedious and challenging, it might lead to streamlining of future work.
