The school board is now re-looking into the books to see if they are truly unfit for students to read and study.

His decade year old probe, the Rosetta mission, landed on a comet for the first time in history. When interviewed he was wearing an offensive shirt to some as depicting scandalous women with weapons such as guns and blaster. To women and feminists around this was depicted as extremely offensive and an uproar started. Even after his tearful apology, the people still revolted over his attire for the broad casting interview. This incident has since died down after 2 years. This is a perfect representation of Beatty's point of people being too easily offended. In the article it states many time of the wicked things the offended group said to him and literally made a grown man cry. The depiction of the women seemed to offended the people because they took it as lessening the value of women worth and how they couldn't believe a scientist with a very professionally career would present himself as that.

Hannah Carns

Most of this article is about a presidential nominee and a first lady trying to enforce feminism. This article is an example of people being too easily offended. Mrs. Obama and Hilary Clinton are both in their own ways trying to make sure women are not viewed as a minority. Clinton has stated about women being sexually assaulted, that women can be whatever they want to be (including president of the United States), and that women's rights are human rights. Beatty said about that everyone is a minority in some way, and in this article some people think that women don't have all of the rights and respect they deserve.

On the third night of the Republican National Convention, Kelly wore a spaghetti strap, V-neck shirt. People came to twitter about her shirt asking if she was "going to the club or the beach" or if she was "wearing her yoga outfit." This is an example of people being offended to easily. The article features 21 year old supermodel Gigi Hadid along with an assumed to be boyfriend/husband, along with their son and daughter. People are very upset with the age of Hadid in relation to the age of her oldest child. Many are saying the add is advocating or sensationalizing teen pregnancy as Hadid would have been highly likely to have been in her teen years upon the birth of her son. The add creators are also being called racist because the young couple's daughter, who is not Caucasian, can be seen with a chain that is suspected to have the toddler "chained" to her stroller. This is an example of people being too easily offended by a topic. Versace is a clothing company that were simply trying to gain popularity with the youth and young adults. However because of the way people interpreted the content of the add, the clothing company now has a bad reputation among many who have seen the add.

- Logan Roadcap

That Wouldn't Happen Now, Would It? http://www.christianpost.com/news/why-are-schools-banning-the-bible-in-the-classroom-119756/ Recently, in a school in Florida, a boy named Giovanni has been yelled at and reported by a teacher and principal for reading The Bible in class. The teacher said The Bible is very inappropriate to read at school. The teacher told him before not to read The Bible, but this time she talked to the dad about it. The principal agreed with the teacher, stating in a letter: "Your child is permitted to read the Bible before school, after school and during lunch, in accordance to the law." The kid’s rights were violated, so him and his parents hired an attorney to fight against it. Questioning The Bible is an example of people that are offended too easily. The people don’t want religion going around in school, all they want is the education. The teacher might have got offended because she doesn’t agree with The Bible.

Other people believe that if the woman didn't say no, then they played a role in the rape. However, not all people believe this way. Many people feel that if you are raped, you have nothing to do with it. Sometimes that is the case, and other times not so much. Some of the pieces were even classics from the medieval ages. Deleting the pictures off Facebook not only offends the user but also the person who created the piece of art. Art historian, Kathy Shnapper has dedicated January 15, to be the day that all appreciators of art fight back against their nudity policy, by posting their favorite art pieces depicting nude figures. This is an example of Beatty’s “people too easily offended” reason. Obviously the Facebook monitors or other users are too easily offended of a male or female body. In the book they burned all the books about lung cancer because the smokers were offended. In real life their deleting pictures of classic art because people aren't accepting enough. -Dylan

Beatty said about that everyone is a minority in some way, and in this article some people think that women don't have all of the rights and respect they deserve

Montana Behrendt

One of these reasons is that it can have offensive content. This is like the point Beatty brought up about the public getting offended too easily so they got rid of books. The parents send emails to the school about it and demand that the books be removed just because they don't like it. This shows what Beatty said. People are to easily offended and in stead of moving on they push and complain until something they don't like is taken from those who do like it. Then every thing is more simple because every thing is expected to be a certain way. They want every thing equal. People want to be happy and to be happy they want to get ride of every thing that offends them, but what if what they like offends someone else? The solution get ride of books.
