In fact, she was born with a medical condition and and as a result, she had both of her legs amputated below the knee when she was one year old. In 1996, she went on to compete in the Paralympics in Atlanta where she setting three world records in the 100m, 200m and long jump. I think this woman is an inspiration because she shows that nothing is impossible. And doesn't let her medical condition define who she is.

Manon

Annette Kellerman or " the Australian mermaid " was born in 1886 and she died in 1975. She was a feminist and the pioneer of synchronized swimming. She defended the woman right to have her body by developing special swimsuits and the benefits of sport for women. She was affected by polio, that's why she started to swim and she never stopped afterwards. Futhermore, she was an actess and especially the first woman who appeared naked in a movie in 1916. This person is a sort of myth because of all her commitment during her life, especially in the very impeded (entravé) field of women rights. In my opinion, all women should consider Annette Kellerman like a myth. WHY ?

She is known for human rights advocacy (promotion), especially the education of women and children in her native Swat Valley in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northwest Pakistan, where the local Taliban had at times banned girls from attending school. To me, Malala is a heroine for all girls who don’t have access to education, and a sort of myth for everyone, that symbolize the still current struggle of some people, for women as much access to education as men.

Joan said she received visions of the Archangel Michael, Saint Margaret, and Saint Catherine of Alexandria instructing her to support Charles VII and recover France from English domination late in the Hundred Years' War. The uncrowned King Charles VII sent Joan to the siege of Orléans as part of a relief mission. She gained prominence after the siege was lifted only nine days later. Several additional swift victories led to Charles VII's coronation at Reims. This long-awaited event boosted French morale and paved the way for the final French victory.
