Brushing Boots prevent the horse brushing the inside of its lower leg. Also prevent the horse slicing its leg when the horse steps forward it's designed to prevent injuries from happening. The boots should fit 1 finger below the knee and should not hang below the fetlock, they should fit snug to the leg and look neat when Velcro is done, the Velcro must go towards the back of the horse and padding must be on the inside of the leg. The dicipline you would use these in is flat or lunge as dressage don't allow boots for competition and can restrict movement as where jumping there to thick and won't teach the horse to pick there legs up

This skeleton boot goes on the knee and can be used when riding unlike some other skeleton boots that have loss strap on the bottom so can't be used for riding. It helps to protect the knees. They are not suitable for jump but are good for on the road as the horse may slip and may knock the knees. They are good to use for polo too. Non of the horses on the yard need to wear this as non do road work.

Tendon boots are used on the fore limbs, fetlock boots are used on the hind limbs. these boots are popular in show jumping. Tendon boots are open fronted with Velcro fastenings so if the horse knocks a pole, they can feel it and it will encourage them to lift their legs higher next time. Tendon
Boots provide protection for the fetlock joint and tendons and ligaments in the fore limbs from the hind limbs striking them and injuring them. To apply and fit
tendon boots, you should place the tendon boot onto the leg on the cannon bone, so the bottom of the boot is just covering the fetlock. you should then bring the straps around the front of the leg over the cannon bone and fasten to create a snug fit, you dont want them too tight or too loose. Prices can vary from £20 - £150 (with fetlock boots included) ideal for horses with finer legs however wider boots are available. They come in a range of sizes including x-small, small, medium, large and extra large.
