Det är färger som fungerar bra ihop och kompletterar varandra.
Den grafiska designen har blivit en blandning mellan NASA och HKR. Där finns mörka blå färger som påminner om de NASA använder på sin sida. De mörka associeras även ofta till rymden, speciellt om det finns vita prickar eller kontraster. Samma raka och enkla design som används på HKRs sida går även se i den grafiska design som finns på den gemensamt sidan. Typsnittet som används i bl.a. rubriker påminner om det i HKRs logotyp och stjärnor, planeter och färgerna associeras med rymden och NASA.
Designen har även fått karaktär genom små doodles av planeter och stjärnor. Detta ger som sagt en personlighet till designen och associeras med rymden och NASA.

Stilen på dessa inspirerade mig i designen. Framför allt den retro känslan på hemsidan mars.nasa.gov. Även de olika posters som skapades som har ungefär samma innebörd som kursen är i en mer retro stil. Att affischerna har en tydlig tecknad stil och även färgerna i postern inspirerade mig i färgval och de tecknade detaljerna jag använt. De har en seriös men lekfull känsla och attityd som jag gärna vill förmedla i min grafiska design också.
Mars in a Minut är videos med hyfsat enkla illustrationer i en handritad, snabb doodle-stil som också inspirerade mig att göra något liknande fast mindre illustrerat.
De olika kurssidorna gav mig inspiration för upplägg och hur de använt informationshierarki. Någon går in på sidan för att rubriken verkar intressant och vill ha mer information. Att informationen då är det första en besökare ser underlättar för besökaren och ökar chanserna att personen stannar och läser mer. Själva anmälan ligger sist på sidan, eftersom även om detta också är viktig information är det först när besökaren läst om själva kursen som anmälningen blir relevant. Att ha den viktiga information uppdelad och lägga mindre intresseväckande information som kurslitteratur emellan skapar en rytm där inte allt viktigt kommer direkt och resterande information på sidan glöms bort. Anmälan sticker dessutom ut från resterande information med hjälp av färgblock/bakgrund. Även rubriken i all caps och formen på resterande text sticker ut och uppmärksammar anmälningen. 
     De olika delarna i texten är uppdelade med hjälp av bilder och underrubriker. Underrubrikerna underlättar läsandet då det blir avbrott i texten. Även bilderna skapar avbrott och delar upp texten i avdelningar med större avbrott som underlättar läsandet och håller intresset för texten uppe. 
     Alla underrubriker har sama paragrafstil, och all brödtext ser likadan ut. Detta skapar ett organiserat utseende som gör att texten känns enkel att följa med i. Länkarna utmärks med färg och understrykning och går inte att missa. 
     All information ligger direkt på startsidan och det enda besökaren behöver göra är att skrolla. Det blir därför enkelt att besöka sidan och ta del av informationen. Skissen testar lite var jag kan sätta in bilder och göra olika avdelningar och avbrott i texten. Skissen utgick med den första bilden (som syns under färgval i grafisk design-delen) och sedan valdes resterande bilder efter skissen.
Jag gjorde olika wireframes där jag testade mer detaljerat och främst testade färgkombinationer. Genom dessa kom jag fram till att det orangea passar bättre som detaljfärg, då det tar över och blir väldigt "skrikigt" i större element.
