         <description><![CDATA[<div>In Athens they had a democracy which means that the people chose. Athens also had a council of 500 and they would meet on a hill every day.<br><br>In Sparta they where an oligarchy, which meant they were ruled by a couple of rich guys. then there was 7 other guys that were put into a boot camp.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Athens depended on trade because they were near the sea. Athens made there own coin. On one side it had the goddess Athena, and on the other side it had a picture of a owl.<br><br>Sparta got there food by conquering their neighbors. Sparta's food was also produced by helots. the money that Sparta used was iron bars because they would be harder to steal. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Athens depended on education.this is how they made good citizens.when men turned 18 they were put into military training. girls did not go to school, they were taught house work. <br><br>Sparta was based on good men and women to fight in war. Sparta put kids into military training when they were 7 or 8 years old. there most important goal was to become a brave soldier </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In Athens men were only considered citizens. Few women had jobs. women could not inherit land or own land. Most people who were not owned at least one slave. Some people were born into slavery.<br><br>Spartan women lived the same life as men did. Women were expected to be healthy. Women could own property in Sparta. Spartan slaves were called helots. Spartan people killed helots to eliminate the possibility of them turing on them.</div>]]></description>
