Being in the correct third your position is meant to be in. e.g Goal Attack (GA) able to play in the centre third and goal third.
Tactical positioning while 
Close marking- marking your opponent as closely as possible without fouling.
Positioning would be an open skill because you are constantly changing where you are positioning yourself, it is not the same routine every time, or in this case you do not position yourself in the same area of the court all the time.

Passing or shooting at the right time, making it easier for your team to catch the ball. 
A centre waiting for the correct time to ass the ball to the goal attacker so that they have a good chance of catching. Acting fast to stunt the opposing team before they get back into position from a foul. slowing down and speeding up the game by thinking tactically about how fast to act.
