I talk with friends in the field about the fun and engaging things they are doing in the field. This may not sound like self-care and may not be but to me it helps learning from others and having fun doing so. I love having an 'ah-ha' moment about something I enjoy doing so much. Speaking with friends in the field helps me feel connected and inspired. The conversations are not deep or challenging, simply a time to put deadlines and heaviness aside for friendship.

I am a big fan of "night showers". While I take my morning shower each day, I find a shower in the evening really helps me wash away the stresses of the day and settle in for the evening and bedtime.

Additionally I love my Peloton. I love the feeling of releasing energy and getting my head right for the day. I am an early riser and love that first thing in the morning rush.

I find it calming to be outdoors and just listen to the sounds around me. Trying to ground myself out reduces the stress and anxiety I am feeling. This is something I struggle with a lot and this past year and a half have seem to escalate my anxiety. One day at a time is something I find to help me. Although, as a planner this is difficult to do.

I have found that in order to maintain resiliency, being able to go for a walk has been really helpful. This is something that I make time to do each day. Even if it's to simply walk to the parking lot and put something in/take something from my car, this has been a very helpful practice. Being able to physically step away, allows me to let go of anything that is causing me stress, and return with a clear mind.
