Sit in Greensboro influenced the civil rights movement by a huge number of ways. so for example take Rosey park, what did she do? she sat in the white persons spot on the bus and was fighting to become united and not segregated. That's the same thing that happened in Greensboro but it was with college students at different restaurants. This proved to the black male or female that you fight for what you believe in and this helped them become stronger and fight to become united with the white population. This was very very important towards the civil rights movement.

The Greensboro sit-in was a civil rights protest that started in 1960, when young African-American students staged a sit-in at a segregated Woolworth’s lunch counter in Greensboro, North Carolina, and refused to leave after being denied service. The sit-in movement soon spread to college towns throughout the South. Though many of the protesters were arrested for trespassing, disorderly conduct or disturbing the peace, their actions made an immediate and lasting impact, forcing Woolworth’s and other establishments to change their segregationist policies.
