Hi everyone, I’m Fiona McConnell, Digital Learning Leader at UHI Inverness. My role focuses on supporting staff development in digital learning, accessibility, and the ethical and practical use of Generative AI across Further and Higher Education. I work closely with academic and professional services teams on areas including assessment design, digital pedagogy, inclusive practice, Brightspace development, and staff AI literacy. I’m also undertaking a 2 year Research Connect Scheme project exploring how ethical and pedagogical considerations influence staff engagement with GenAI in teaching, learning, and assessment. I’m particularly interested in sharing practice around inclusive assessment, feedback approaches, staff guidance, AI policy interpretation, and practical ways institutions can support both staff and learners during this period of rapid change.
