Promoting a professional development of staff and thus making colleagues get in touch with the possibilities of eTwinning is perhaps the biggest problem that we are facing right now. I have already presented the platform in a 10-minute presentation on the occasion of a staff meeting in April, yet the interest has not changed, as it seems. There are two other ways that I am willing to try: First, I want to give seminars to interested colleagues, perhaps during a training program, which we have twice every schoolyear. Second, revealing the advantages of eTwinning for teachers can be done with the help of regular reports, a display in the building as well as by using the homepage of my school.

What could be done was to try to make teachers realize how much collaborative work is an asset in our profession and that we are all one in the development of our young people's learning. We contribute to the same cause together.
In eTwinning projects we achieve this, we feel supported and we feel as if we are all part of the same problem/project.

Most students apply digital technologies for learning and collaboration.

Individually, I've been trying to increase my knowledge about etwinning (mooc, webinar…), share it with my partners in the schools where I go, entice them to enter this vast and wonderful world that is collaboration with others. Over time, I try to convey the message that this is an excellent learning opportunity, motivating for students and teachers and whose horizons go beyond our “window” at home; it is an open window to the world for other ways of learning, teaching and working. Most of the time I hit a concrete wall, I try to get around it inviting them into my little etwinner world, but I rarely succeed. Most of the colleagues I've worked with don't want to hear, they're not even available to help and that's why I keep moving forward and even against all the odds I create some cooperation with students, families and external entities.

Good morning everyone!

Sharing knowledge, following up with younger teachers and encouraging those who are more discouraged is the goal of good leadership. It is not always possible to share effectively and continuously, as there is often a lack of common time to do so. In my school we have a common time where this is done: pedagogical and scientific training, sharing of experiences and materials. We often receive other people (technicians, teachers) to share their knowledge and materials in short-term training.

I'm a curious teacher that is always searching for new ways to improve and develop my teaching. I always try to devote some time to an in-depth learning opportunity. We can always learn something new and through training, we can innovate and apply new methods in our classroom. Peer and collaborative learning enrich our professional development. I take self-interest online seminars, learning events, online courses, webinars, seminars, international structured courses ( Erasmus +), MOOCs, and I always try to inform and motivate other teachers to do the same.
In our school, as we have a digital plan, we have sessions where the use of tools is explained and methodologies are shared. In general, teachers support each other, share and exchange, and learn together. For example, the courses that teachers attend nationally or internationally are disseminated in the school, promoting professional development.
My curious mind leads me on a lifelong learning journey and I strongly try to motivate my colleagues to do the same.
For example, eTwinnnig projects enable us to work closely and share knowledge and skills.
As the eTwinning Mentor in my school, I share my personal experience and keep teachers informed about eTwinning projects, I help them get involved and I don't give up motivating more and more teachers to participate in eTwinning projects and become more experienced as far as PBL is concerned. Collaboration and curiosity are crucial in this process of being updated with new methodologies and innovation.
However, we have to recognise that there are colleagues who don't think the same. And worse, we have to deal with colleagues who are reluctant and don't recognise they can learn with more experienced ones. Instead, they seem jealous and even think that the teachers who want to feel self-fulfilled and learn are vain. We're in a continuous struggle.

In a universe of about 250 teachers, only 25 attended the training event. I think the main problems are time and language. Teachers struggle with daily work and have difficulties in understanding English. And this can be an obstacle in engaging teachers in international professional development. However it is important to continue motivating teachers, this time were 25 teachers, next time will be 35 and another time it will be 50. As for the development of eTwinning projects, next year as a way to motivate teachers I intend to look for a project about Citizenship and help teachers in their development as it is cross-curricular to all years.

Ask the headteacher for some space during formal meetings attended by the whole school community for the study group to share their work.

As an individual, I am preparing a presentation about the projects I have done and participated in on eTwinning for the whole school. I am taking this course to learn more so our school can get certified and motivate my peers.
As the first teacher at my school to have participated in etwinning projects, “dragged” a colleague to an Erasmus+ project and now getting certification to the school, the school board is giving me room to implement my ideas and bring more teachers onboard eTwinning projects.
It was very rewarding to see many colleagues asking me how to use eTwinning projects because their students wanted to work like my students and our ideas were very interesting. It is great to know more teachers are motivated to do something different and jump onboard this great community that is eTwinning.
Before writing this padlet, I read the information and watched the videos. Knowing that my crazy idea of involving the whole school through seminars and showing the teachers and students how to use eTwinning projects to motivate both parties is not such a crazy idea, has been done and is proven effective was very heartwarming.
I am glad the school board is giving me all the tools I need to make sure we will be a wonderful role model to other groupings of schools and our community. Our students, our families, our teachers will benefit from this change and the new approach to teaching and learning. Giving students more freedom to select items and learn at their own pace will give them more motivation and take so much pressure off both parties.
By promoting teachers’ training, through European training sessions, we are helping them achieve their true potential, keeping them up to date on the latest teaching methodologies and motivating them throughout the school year.
About a month ago a colleague asked me for help to get into eTwinning because she was exhausted and frustrated. She told me she has been working with her students the same way for far too many years, she saw the work I was doing with my grade 7 students, famous for their poor behavior in class, but now they were bringing their laptops to my class every week and even communicating in English. (Apparently word spread like wildfire…) She said she didn’t know what else to do except doing a somersault. I told her she needed to be careful with those tricks, but she could ask the kids to do them for her. Maybe she could try having the kids move around the classroom instead. Maybe they could go outside for a reading activity or creative writing activity.
She did something similar and the students loved the activity. So last week this same colleague was eager to learn more about eTwinning and so was another colleague and that’s when I said I would prepare a seminar and a workshop where they could all learn about eTwinning, how to register on the platform and that we could start with something small in September and then they could spread their wings and go for international projects.
I believe my school is doing the right thing by having this approach and allowing the whole community to open their minds to new ideas.

Due to the pandemic we all had to develop digital competences to keep up with the new challanges. I think sharing ideas, activities and strategies is very effective both for students and teachers, tha's why it is important to motivate as many collegues as possible . The best way is to involve them in the activities which are carried out arranging an active didactic plan and sharing the results. Being an etwinning school will give the opportunity to the whole school community to become a really European school giving the chance to work in international teams improving the key European Comptetences.

They notice the positive effects of LTTA's on students, namely: increase in self-confidence, increase in English skills and more motivation to learn the language, increase in other school activities, etc. In sum, the number of teachers who want to get involved in Erasmus+ projects has increased.
