Shura means consultations - it means that people must discuss and consult with one another when they are lost or confused. It means that we must remain committed to helping one another by providing advice when we can. The people of Shura tend to be experts - qualified or not - in a certain area. It could be a docter, or it could be someone who is wise with a lot of experience. Anyone can give Shura to someone else as long as they have knowledge on the subject.

"And [for] those who have responded to their lord and established prayer and whose affair is [determined by] consultation among themselves, and from what We have provided them, they spend."

Shura means consultation or making decisions together through discussion and mutual advice, and in Islam it’s about listening to others instead of acting alone or thinking you always know best. People who practice shura are usually humble and they listen carefully, value different opinions, and try to be fair rather than selfish. They’re patient, sincere in their intentions, and focused on what’s best for everyone, not just themselves, this is showen in the Qur’an 42:38

“…and whose affairs are conducted by mutual consultation (shūrā) among them.”Overall, shura encourages people to work together, trust eachother and unit people together.

kitty

In Islam Shura is considered to be mutual consultation which represents a process in everyday collective decisions. This is a process mandated by the Quran, presented mainly with an entire Surah dedicated to this process in chapter 42.

This process involves a variety of different parts, including gathering the evidence and knowledge, assessing and debating the opinions with informed people about the topic. It can help make political , social and family affairs.

Furthermore, in surah Ali Imran in verse 159 Allah SWT states: “and consult them in the affair. And when you have decided, then rely upon Allah.”

Mahdi
