My mindset about learning in an online class has changed tremendously. Starting this course, i was so nervous. I didn't know if I would adapt well to this new way of learning, it just felt scary. I was intimidated by being in a class with people I don't know and I thought that would effect me. I also didn't think that we would get so much practice with the material before a test. I didn't expect the teacher to be so thorough with the material and address every person's issues to make sure we understood. I thought having a computer screen infront of me instead of a teacher standing would make me feel less involved and less focused but that is not the case. Overall, online learning is a lot easier to get used to and a lot better than I thought it would be. I felt good before the test, obviously a bit nervous but good. During the test I felt good as well, I didn't have any trouble with finding out what I had to do for each question which made me feel at ease. After the test I felt confident, I felt like I did a good job.
Over the past few weeks I think I've grown a lot with my learning online. Before I had started my online courses, I was extremely nervous about this new environment and learning with people I did not know. Now, I feel relieved and I actually love being online. I think it may have even helped me become less shy, working in the breakout rooms with my other classmates was admittedly out of my comfort zone, but I've been getting more comfortable. I think my working independence has also increased, I have always been an independent learner but the responsibilities I have when learning online has developed that even more. My confidence as a student has grown also, realizing I can handle and succeed in this complex course is an awesome feeling. Also, this class has helped me realize I shouldn't be afraid to say if i have a different answer when going over questions in class. If we were to have a different answer, we will simply go through it and everyone helps in order to make sure everyone understands. Nobody makes fun of others for getting something
