To exaggerate even more, the last line of the poem shows that the children does not forgive the poet.

We can see line 5, the persona uses ‘flame’ and ‘brambles’. The living condition of the ‘Old Amah’ is bad, this is evident in lien 6 and 7, words such as old newspapers and spittoon described her living condition. And also 8 and 9, sentences such as waste of terror, crumbling of your body’s wall also described her living condition.
