Flora Species: In order for plants to remain alive, they have to be able to collect and store water and reduce the water that is vanishing from them. The most common plant in a desert biome is a cactus, the hard leaves makes it possible for them to control the changes in temperatures from day to night. In the Canary Islands, you will find the Dragon Tree Living.Examples: Cactus, shrubs, Cardón, Camel Thorn Tree, Prickly pear, Saguaro.
Fauna Species: The animals and insects that live in a desert biome have learned to adapt to the temperatures. Also they've learned to survive with very little food and water. They are most likely sleeping during the day and awake at night. Examples: Ants, mice, tarantulas, rabbits, rattlesnakes, porcupines, scorpions, lizards, kangaroo, dingo, and hawks.
