Farmers would gather this to weave ropes, sandals, baskets, and river rafts. They later used papyrus to make paper. Also, farmers created a&nbsp;shadoof, which is a bucket that is attached to a long pole that lifts water from the Nile and empties it into basins. Farmers still use this method!<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The ancient Egyptian farmers (as seen in the picture) used a small whip (most likely made from papyrus reeds) to move cows or bulls  that were pulling a plow. After plowing  they would either plant fig or olive trees. These trees would supply them with food and oils (olive oil). The food provided would create surpluses of food that would allow other natives to have other jobs. These jobs would then allow the Egyptians to produce more food faster and trade this food. </div>]]></description>
