The Biden administration has introduced an ambitious plan to assist working families by creating jobs, lowering costs, and cutting taxes for families with children and workers without. This would provide universal preschool, funding for child care centers, and paid family/medical leave. Financial aid for students has also been included with a $500 increase in Pell Grants. Also aiming to protect the environment, this act would cut taxes for middle-class American who switch to clean energy, deliver 40% of the benefits from a clean energy and sustainability accelerator to disadvantaged communities, and conserve forests and coasts. For elder, a public option would be introduced for those who can't get Medicaid in their state and Medicare would be expanded to cover hearing benefits. Paid for by implementing a 15% minimum tax on large corporations and a 5% surtax on income over $10 million a year, this act has faced unanimous Republican opposition.

While the Biden administration has ended construction of the wall, reversed the "zero-tolerance policy", and lifted the travel ban on Muslims. Initially, Biden proposed expansive reform that would provide a path to citizenship for over 10 million undocumented immigrants living in the US. However, with a record number of unaccompanied migrant children from Central America just weeks after Biden's inauguration, the administration reopened the jail-like facilities. Vice President Harris even told migrants not to come to America, to prevent such treatment. During the beginning of the Pandemic, Trump introduced Title 42, which uses public health as an excuse to prevent noncitizens from entering the US. Since then, the CDC opposed the policy and a federal judge blocked the policy from being used to expel families, but the Biden administration appealed the ruling. Title 42 has since been used to expel 7,000 Haitians who attempted to flee the humanitarian crisis back home. Biden claims that he is committed to reforming immigration into a more humane process, but his actions on the border heavily contradict his words.

Following Biden's order to move global ISIS leader, Al Kareshi blew himself up in an overnight raid conducted by the US Military in Syria. Rescue groups, such as the White Helmets, counted 13 casualties. As most Americans do not want to be involved in this forever war, Biden used these operations as a warning to terrorist groups, demonstrating the US's capability to eliminate threats.

Prior to his victory in the presidential election, Biden campaigned with a variety of promises. He promised to ban oil and gas leases on federal lands and offshore waters, but this has not been fully embraced by the administration. Moreover, Biden's undo Trump’s 2017 corporate tax cuts is currently stalled in the Senate. He also promised to raise the refugee cap from the 15,000 set by Trump to 125,000, but his executive order in February only raised the cap to 62,500 refugees. In March 2021, Biden introduced the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act to the House of Representatives, but almost a year later, this has yet to become a law. Biden set unattainable deadlines and many of these promises were left unfulfilled. Many are upset that Biden was not more transparent with his intentions, policies, and accomplishments.
