This topic is essential to understanding a text, and how different pieces of information relate to one another through sequence and cause and effect. I also chose this because it lends itself to the use of drama within the classroom.

Drama can be integrated into ordering events of a piece of informational text easily through student groups being given a section of the text to read and study by the teacher. Students will then discuss the information and act it out whether that be the article, non fiction, fiction, or fantasy text they are given. The whole class will get the same piece of text. Students will have to organize who says what and how their section of the text will be presented. Student groups will present the information that occurs first, then, next, last etc. in order. One will be a reporter asking the other students what happened and how, which they will then act out.

I like how easy this particular activity is. When being done, I would pick a much larger piece of text for students to do so we could order it as a whole class. These small texts could be done as a practice.
